On June 24, more than 100 volunteers participated in our 21st annual Day of Service and Reflection (DOSAR). UChicago Medicine and Biological Sciences Division colleagues and friends helped serve 13 partner organizations across the South Side (including the Ronald McDonald House, Brickyard Community Garden and Roseland Christian Ministries) with projects like painting, cleaning, gardening and more. Our volunteers included Mark Anderson, MD, PhD, Dean and Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs; Tom Jackiewicz, President of the University of Chicago Health System; and Barry Fields, Chair of the UCMC Board of Trustees. Congratulations to our Urban Health Initiative and Community Affairs teams for their work on another successful and inspirational event and thank you to everyone that helped make the day possible.
